Jinde Cao

Professor Cao is an Endowed Chair Professor, the Director of Science Department and the Dean of the School of Mathematics at Southeast University (SEU), the Director of the National Center for Applied Mathematics at SEU-Jiangsu of China, and the Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Networked Collective Intelligence of China.

He has been an Editor-in-Chief, Special Issue Editor, Subject Editor, and Associate Editors for 20+ world-renowned journals, including IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transaction on Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems, Neural Networks. He has delivered 60+ talks as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited Speaker in international conferences, symposiums, workshops. He was a General Chair, Workshop Chair, Session Chair and IPC Member for numerous conferences, such as IEEE Conferences in Europe, Turkey, Canada, and China.

He has been named as Highly-Cited Researcher simultaneously in three disciplines: Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics by Thomson Reuters /Clarivate Analytics. He has published 7 scholarly books, 1000+ journal articles, and 100+ conference papers, many of which are in prestigious top-class international journals. Most of his journal articles are published in top-notch journals, including 400+ in JCR-Q1 and SCImago Q1 high-impact international journals and 300+ in prestigious IEEE Transactions. His work has received more than 78648 citations, and his h-index is 137 by Google Scholar. From Web of Science, he has 100+ Highly Cited papers (ESI 1%). He won top 100 Most Cited Chinese Papers for eight articles published in International Journals by Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China. He won Thomson Reuters Research Fronts Award (2008) for one of his articles, published in IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I:Regular Paper with title “Global stability conditions for delayed CNNs”. One of his articles was elected for “The 4th China Association for Science and Technology Excellent Scientific Papers”. He is principal/co-principal investigator of 25 conducted research projects. His works have been highly and widely recognized, and has been written into the annual report of the National Natural Science Foundation of China as one of 15 excellent funded projects. His published papers have received more than 63588 citations with H-index of 123 according to ISI-Web of Science, and received 80684 citations with H-index of 139 according to Google Scholar. Prof. Cao ranked eighth among Top 1000 Scientists in the field of Electronics and Electrical Engineering for 2022 in Research.com, which is a leading academic platform for researchers. He was also recently recognized among the top 2% of the most impactful scientists globally, and ranked 630 in the world by Stanford-Elsevier’s Scopus.
