Yushi Shen
Dr. Yushi Shen is the founder, chairman, and chief scientist of NNCS Tech Co., Ltd., the director of the Intelligent Network Computing Laboratory of Strait Research Institute of Tsinghua University, and a foreign academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia.
Dr. Shen has over 20 years of research, development, and management experience in the IT industry, as well as leadership experience in influential international organizations. He is an internationally recognized expert in the areas of cloud computing, video coding, cyberspace security, and wireless communication. He is the recipient of various international awards and recognitions.
Dr. Shen used to serve as VP and CTO for the cloud business, as well as GM of the Next-Generation Data Center BU, at 21Vianet Group Inc (NASDAQ: VNET), which is a cyberspace infrastructure service provider with international impact and the largest third-party independent data center operator. Before that, Dr. Shen worked for Microsoft Inc. as a Strategy Consultant, Director for Cloud Business, and Senior Software Architect, as well as the Chairman of the Chinese Microsoft Employee Network (CHIME), and the Chairman of the Microsoft Asian Human Resources Group.
Prof. Shen is the Co-founder and General Secretary of the China Cloud System Pioneer Strategic Alliance and the General Secretary of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) in the Greater China Region. He has been invited to serve in influential international organizations, such as the Global FinTech Lab Expert Committee and the Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) in the United States. He is also a senior member of IEEE, a senior member of Sigma Xi, and a lifelong member of Beta Gamma Sigma. He has published over 20 papers in related areas and also serves as a reviewer for more than 10 professional journals or conference papers indexed by SCI.
Dr. Shen received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Tsinghua University, Beijing, P. R. China, M.S. and Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering, from the Univ. of California at San Diego (UCSD), La Jolla, and MBA degree from Univ. of Washington (UW).
