Yu Wei
Yu Wei graduated from Zhejiang University with a doctoral degree in Power Electronics in 2009. In the same year, he joined East Group Co., Ltd. and held various positions including Software Engineer, Software Director, and General Manager of R&D Center, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. With nearly 20 years of professional technical research and development experience, the main research work include inverter digital control, inverter grid connection control and off-gird parallel current sharing control, soft switching DC/DC converter control, renewable energy and micro-grid control and intelligent management, etc. He has strong power electronics professional skills and industry insights, strong management skills, strong team spirit and dedication, as well as communication and quick response abilities.
As the R&D leader of East Group Co., Ltd，he has developed full range of UPS products, photovoltaic grid connected inverter and energy storage inverter and hybrid energy systems, Electric vehicle charging station. He has led and participated in many projects, such as “Research and Industrialization of Key Technologies for Distributed Intelligent EV Charging station", "Research and Industrialization of Key Technologies for Silicon Carbide Chips, Power Devices, and High Frequency Energy Conversion" of the Major R&D projects in Guangdong Province. “Research on Key Technologies and Industrialization of Super EV charging Stations "of the Major R&D projects in Dongguan.
In addition to leading the research and development work of EAST Company, he is also an executive director of the China Power Supply Society, an executive director of the Electric Vehicle Charging Technology Subcommittee of the IEEE PES China Electric Vehicle Technical Committee, an executive director of the Energy Storage System and Equipment Subcommittee of the IEEE PES China Energy Storage Technology Committee.
In recent years, the projects he has led and participated in have achieved the first prize of the Ministry of Education's Technology Invention Award, the first prize of Shanghai Technology Invention Award, the First Special Prize for Science and Technology Progress of the China Power Supply Society, the third prize of Guangdong Province Science and Technology Achievement Award，etc. He has obtained over 20 invention patents and published 19 papers.
