Xu Yunhua

Xu Yunhua, a male scholar with a doctoral degree, is a second-grade professor and a doctoral supervisor. He is the current President of Yulin University. In addition to his primary role, he holds several prestigious positions including Director of the Engineering Research Center for Wear-Resistant Materials and Technologies under the Ministry of Education, Director of the International Joint Research Center for Intelligent Manufacturing Technology of Composite Materials and Their Products, and Director of the Shaanxi Province "Four Main Bodies and One Joint" High-Capacity Hydrogen Storage Materials School-Enterprise Joint Research Center. His research interests encompass bimetallic wear-resistant composite materials, organic liquid hydrogen storage, magnesium-based solid-state hydrogen storage, high specific energy lithium-ion battery cathode and anode materials, and the development of new sodium-ion batteries. He has published over 200 papers, secured more than 100 national invention patents, and authored two books.

Professor Xu has led over 50 national and provincial-level scientific research projects, including those under the National "863" Program, the National 11th Five-Year Plan for Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation's key projects, the Ministry of Education's key scientific and technological projects, the Ministry of Science and Technology's Science and Technology Innovation Fund for Technology-based Small and Medium Enterprises, and the Shaanxi Province "13115 Science and Technology Innovation System Engineering" Engineering Center/Major Industrialization Projects.

He has been honored with several awards, including the titles of "Shaanxi Province Outstanding Contribution Expert," "Top Ten Excellent Inventors of Shaanxi Province," "Excellent Talent of the New Century of the Ministry of Education," "Top Ten Meritorious Figures of the Western Development Industry," and "Advanced Worker of the Ninth Five-Year Plan Shaanxi Province Industry-University-Research Joint Development Project." His accolades include the First and Second Prizes for Scientific and Technological Progress of Shaanxi Province, the China Patent Excellence Award, and the National Key New Product Award, totaling over twenty recognitions.

In recent years, leveraging his patented technologies with independent intellectual property rights, he founded Tongchuan Zhongxing Materials Co., Ltd. The company has developed a series of innovative high-performance wear-resistant composite materials and products, which have been widely adopted by more than a hundred enterprises across various industries such as metallurgy, mining, electric power, coal, and construction materials, both domestically and internationally. These efforts have generated cumulative product sales exceeding 1 billion yuan. Furthermore, Professor Xu has collaborated with the North China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. to establish application standards for coal transport pipelines in thermal power plants.
