Xiangxing Tao

Professor Xiangxing Tao graduated with a Ph.D. from Zhejiang University in China and has conducted postdoctoral research at Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia in Canada. He has also worked as visiting professor at the International Mathematical Research Center at Peking University, the Abdul Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics in Italy, the National Central University of Taiwan, Wayne State University and the University of Central Florida in the United States. He is the national second level professor, doctoral supervisor, first level talent of the Zhejiang New Century 151 Talent Project, the leader of the mathematics discipline at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, and the dean of the School of Science and Big Data. He is also the executive director of the Zhejiang Society for Mathematical Medicine, the deputy director of the Mathematics Teaching Steering Committee of Zhejiang Province.

Professor Xiangxing Tao is engaged in mathematical and applied research, and has achieved innovative results in areas such as homogeneous metric spaces and non-standard singular integrals with rough kernels, harmonic analysis techniques for boundary value problems in non-smooth domains, big data processing techniques and applications for multi scene fusion, machine learning and deep learning data modeling techniques, etc. These achievements have a significant impact. Professor Xiangxing Tao has presided over 7 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 6 provincial-level scientific research projects, and participated in undertaking 9 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 7 provincial-level projects. He has published more than 160 academic papers, including over 50 in SCI authoritative journals, and obtained more than 20 national authorized invention patents as well. He has won 3 Science and Technology Progress Awards from the Zhejiang Provincial Education Commission, 2 Science and Technology Progress Awards from Ningbo City, 3 Scientific Research Achievement Awards from Zhejiang Provincial universities, 2 second-prizes from Innovation Award of China Invention Association, 2 second-prizes of Golden Bridge Award of China Technology Market Association, 1 Excellence Award of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation and Promotion Association, 1 Individual Award of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, etc.

Professor Xiangxing Tao is the chief of Key Disciplines and First-Class Disciplines in Zhejiang Province, the head of National First-Class Major and Zhejiang First-Class Major, and the head of Sino-French Cooperation project in Data science and Big Data Technology. He has been invited to deliver academic reports on over 100 international academic conferences and hosted over 20 international academic conferences.
