Wang Yonghong

Wang Yonghong, Ph.D. studying in the United States, professor at Beijing Jiaotong University and the Tunnel and Underground Engineering Experimental Research Center of the Ministry of Education, and doctoral supervisor. Chief Expert and Chief Engineer of Guohong Intelligent Transportation System Co., Ltd. Editorial board member of domestic and foreign academic journals such as "Engineering" and "Tunnel Construction", concurrently serving as the Secretary General of the International Association of Underwater Tunnel, the Secretary General of the China Intelligent Transportation Parking Service Professional Committee, a member of the International Bureau of Rock Mechanics, and a member of the Underground Engineering Branch of the China Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering. I graduated from university in 1982 and stayed on as a teacher. In 1992, obtained a Master's degree in Hydrology and Engineering Geology from China University of Mining and Technology. In 2005, obtained a PhD in Geotechnical and Underground Engineering from the University of Nevada in the United States. In 1996, he went to the MINES Paris Tech (Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris) in Paris, France to pursue a doctoral degree in geotechnical and underground engineering. In 2000, he transferred to the University of Nevada in the United States to pursue a doctoral degree in underground engineering and completed the long-term deformation and stability research project for underground rock caverns by the US Department of Energy. He has presided over and participated in more than 60 national science and technology support programs, the "973" project, major consulting projects of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, international major cooperation projects, national natural science foundation, and provincial and ministerial level and major engineering research projects. He has achieved tremendous economic benefits and social value in tunnel engineering, subsea tunnel engineering, and underground engineering etc., especially in the comprehensive prevention and control of urban underground space development safety. Responsible for completing multiple projects that have reached the "international advanced and leading" level. He has developed a world leading fully intelligent underground three-dimensional parking technology with Chinese intellectual property rights and the accompanying "Intelligent Traffic Management 4.0" technology, leading the demonstration and promotion of China's intelligent underground three-dimensional parking industry. The editor in chief has published 2 monographs and 6 soft works, published over 60 academic papers both domestically and internationally, won nearly 50 national invention and practical patents, 6 provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards, the "2018 China Industry University Research Cooperation Promotion Award", the "12th Invention and Entrepreneurship Award Figure Award" in 2021, the “ Silver Award of 48th Geneva International Invention Award” in 2023, and the “ Gold Award of Macau International Invention Award ” in 2023.
