Wang Wen

Dr. Wang Wen is currently a second-level professor of the Institute of Acoustics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), a distinguished professor of the University of the CAS, a high-level talent of the CAS, and an academic leader in ultrasonic signal processing.

Dr. Wang Wen received his B. Eng. and M. Eng. degrees in applied geophysics from Central South University of China in 1999 and 2002, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in signal and information processing from the Institute of Acoustics, CAS in 2005. During this period, he was sponsored by the Japan Association for the Promotion of Academic Progress and conducted short-term visiting research as a visiting scholar at Chiba University in Japan. From 2005 to 2009, served as a postdoctoral researcher and assistant professor at the Asian University in S. Korea. From 2009 to 2011, he was supported by the Humboldt Foundation in Germany and worked as a guest professor at the University of Freiburg in Germany. Since 2011, he has been a full-time professor at the Institute of Acoustics, CAS and the director of the Academic and Technical Committee of the Ultrasonics Technology Center. Dr. Wang Wen's research interest is mainly in the field of micro acoustic signal processing and sensing technology. Dr. Wang has published over 280 scientific papers, including 200 journal papers, mostly published in authoritative journals such as Sensors and Actuators A/B, IEEE Sensors J, and one of them has won the IOP top cited paper award. In addition, he also edited two monographs and delivered keynote speeches at over 40 international conferences around the world, applying for 80 patents (including 40 authorized invention patents). Dr. Wang has won many awards, including the German Humboldt Foundation Science and Technology Award, Scientist Medal of International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, the Chinese Acoustics Society Wei Rongjue Award, the China Electronics Industry Association Technology Leader Award, the China Invention Association Invention Entrepreneur Award, the China Industry University Research Cooperation Innovation Award, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Zhu Li Yuehua Outstanding Teacher Award, the second prize of the China Electronics Society for Science, and Technology Progress Second Prize in Science and Technology Progress of the China Association for Analysis and Testing.

Dr. Wang Wen is also a senior member of IEEE, fellow of the IAAM. executive director of the Chinese Acoustics Society, deputy director of the Micro Acoustics/Physical Acoustics Branch, and director of the Chinese Micron Nanotechnology Society
