Tun Cao

Tun Cao, male, born in 1978, professor and dean at School of Optoelectronic Engineering and Instrumentation Science, Dalian University of Technology. He has been selected as the Outstanding Youth in National Defense Science and Technology, member of the State Council Nano Science and Engineering Discipline Review Group, Liaoning Province Young Top Talent, Liaoning High Education Institution Innovative Talent, Liaoning Province Hundred-Thousand-Ten Thousand Talent Project, and Liaoning High Education Institution Young Distinguished Scholar. He is the deputy director of Liaoning Key Laboratory of Advanced Optoelectronics Technology, the director of Dalian Key Laboratory of New Functional Materials and Optoelectronic Devices, Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), and Senior Member of Optica. He is the associate editor of Microsystems & Nanoengineering Journal, topic editor of Engineering Journal, editorial board member of Journal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices, and young editorial board member of elight/ International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing /Materials Engineering/Journal of Aeronautical Materials. Under the support of 163 key project, 173 project, National Key Research and Development Program and International Cooperation projects, etc., he focus on the integrated structure and function of micro-nano optoelectronic materials. He has made outstanding contributions in the fields of viruses rapid detection and corresponding chiral therapeutic drugs, high-precision micro-nano fabrication and high-resolution optical imaging, etc. He also carried out technical cooperation with the NORINCO GROUP 201, AVIC 601/301, CETC 29, Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Huawei, etc. In the past five years, he published 92 SCI papers, including Adv. Mater, Physical Rev. Lett., Opto-electron. Adv. and Nano Lett. etc. He has been authorized 40 national invention patents and 1 U.S. patent. Due to his outstanding contributions, he was awarded the Second Prize of Natural Science by Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of Technical Invention by China Optical Engineering Society, the Second Prize of Liaoning Province Natural Science academic achievement Award, the Second Prize of Dalian City Technical Invention, and the Bronze Prize of the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.
