Tan XinTan Xin


Prof. Tan Xin is a distinguished researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. With over 15 years of experience since graduating from the University of Science and Technology of China, his primary focus lies in the development and application of advanced spectral technology, diffraction optics, and other related fields. Prof. Tan Xin has been recognized as a National Leading Talent in Science and Technology Innovation for Young and Middle-aged People, an Outstanding Leading Talent of Jilin Province, and Distinguished Talent and "Xuguang Talent" of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Tan Xin has held various positions such as Director at Jilin Province Black Land Ecological Information Perception Analysis and Application Comprehensive Technology Engineering Research Center and Deputy Secretary General for the National Intelligent Agricultural Equipment Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance. Additionally, he serves as a Guest Editor for Frontiers in Plant Science and a Senior Reviewer for OSA, Elsevier journals.

Prof. Tan Xin has undertaken over 50 national, provincial, and municipal projects, including National Major Scientific Instrument Development Special Project, National Key R&D Plan, Key Projects of the National Foundation Committee, Key R&D Projects of Jilin Province, etc. The total scientific research fund amounts to 200 million yuan, and he has published 49 academic papers in authoritative journals, out of which 45 are included in SCI and EI databases. Furthermore, he has applied for 30 invention patents, with 20 being authorized.

In recent years, Prof. Tan Xin has focused on developing and applying equipment such as hyperspectral imaging equipment, multi-spectral imaging equipment, ultraviolet enhanced spectrum detection equipment, water quality spectrum detector, and Raman spectrum rapid detection equipment. The instruments have successfully been employed in forestry surveying, food safety assurance, water pollution assessment, soil heavy metal detection, pathogen identification, medical diagnostics, and other fields. This industry has generated direct economic benefits amounting to 228.65 million yuan. Several technological accomplishments have undergone commercialization, with a technology development income reaching 27.61 million yuan. Additionally, Guangdong Changguang Micro Nano Technology Co., LTD has been established with a registered capital of 30 million yuan where Prof. Tan Xin serves as director and chief technology officer.

Prof. Tan Xin's achievements have yielded numerous theoretical breakthroughs and practical applications that contribute to China's industrial growth while making significant contributions to the agricultural economy and technological progress.
