Songqing He
Prof. Songqing He, Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, Director of the Basic & Clinical Medicine of Liver Injury and Repair Overseas Expertise Introduction Center for Discipline Innovation (The 111 Project), and Director of the Key Laboratory of Early Prevention and Treatment of Regional High Incidence Tumors (Guangxi Medical Univerisity), the Ministry of Education, China. Prof. He is the selected candidates for the National Hundred and Ten Thousand Talents Project and Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Experts, Guangxi Bagui Scholars, and high-level medical leaders in Guangxi. He is also the Member of the International Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Association and its Chinese branch, member of the Hepatology Group of the Chinese Medical Association, member of the Hepatology Group and Biliary Tracts Group of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and Chairman of the General Surgery Branch of the Guangxi Medical Association.
During the last decade, Prof. He’s study mainly focus on the complement dependent mechanisms and regulation of liver injury and repair. Prof. He has established an original complement dependent mechanism and regulatory theoretical system for liver injury and repair and proposed several new strategies for the treatment of liver diseases in related fields, such as elucidated the dual role and controllability of complement in liver regeneration, proposed a new perspective on "segmented complement regulation" and the involvement of the complement system in the mechanism of immunogenic cell death, explored the complement dependent mechanisms and regulatory strategies for alcoholic fatty liver and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, analyzed the complement dependent mechanisms involved in brain death donor liver injury and brain death donor liver transplant related injuries, and proposed targeted regulatory strategies for the treatment of brain death induced liver injury and cascade injury post-transplantation. Prof. He has published over 200 papers in internationally renowned journals such as NEJM, NRI, CR, Hepatology, JCI, and JEM, which have been cited more than 3000 times; Prof. He has obtained 6 national invention patents and 1 American invention patent, and obtained 12 provincial and ministerial level awards, including the Special Prize of Guangxi Science and Technology Award.
Prof. He is also a master surgeon with rich clinical experience and superb medical skills. He is a candidate for the second National Famous Doctor and the first batch of high-level medical leaders in Guangxi Autonomous Region.
