Shan Bao'en
Prof. Baoen Shan, Male, was born in 1962. Since 2019, he has been the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University. Since 2010, he has been the Director of the Hebei Province Cancer Research Institute. From 2010 to 2020, he served as the President of the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University. From 2012 to 2022, he was the Vice President of Hebei Medical University. He is a doctoral supervisor and professor, having trained 71 doctoral and postdoctoral students, and 186 master degree students. Among these, a total of 12 students have become doctoral supervisors and 3 have won the Young Scholar Award of the Chinese society of immunology. He has received 22 national invention patents and 3 international patents. He has published 31 books and 542 papers (incuding 189 SCI papers). He has been awarded 6 first prizes, 6 second prizes and 18 third prizes of the provincial and ministerial level, as well as 4 scientific and technological achievement awards of Chinese Medical Association and China Anti-Cancer Association.
Prof. Baoen Shan has received the Outstanding Scholar Award of the Chinese society of immunology, the National May Day Labor Medal, the State Council special allowance. He has been recognized as a National outstanding science and technology worker, a national excellent hospital president,a High-end talent of Hebei Province, a provincial management outstanding expert, a young and middle-aged expert with provincial outstanding contribution, provincial medical and pharmaceutical science and technology outstanding contribution award, and as one of the top ten outstanding inventors in Hebei province, etc. He is the experts for Experts of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Key projects of International Science and Technology Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, doctoral degree authorization point of the Ministry of Education, Decision-making consultation of China Association for Science and Technology, Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award Evaluation Committee.
From 1993 to 2000, he was a visiting scholar, doctoral student and postdoctoral researcher in immunology in University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan. From 2002 to 2003, he was a visiting scholar in Cancer Center of Chiba Prefecture in Japan. From 2006 to 2007, he was a senior visiting scholar at King's College London, UK. He was graduated from Healthcare Management of Tsinghua University, and also graduated from National Development Institute and School of Business of Peking University.
As the chief researcher, he has undertaken 10 general project and major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation and one major new drug development project of a national science and technology major project. He has undertaken the national “11th and 12th” Five-year national science and technology support plan, national “863” sub-projects, among others.
He is president-elect of International Society of Tumor Cell and Gene Therapy, Vice Chairman of Oncology Branch of Chinese Medical Association, Vice President of Oncologist Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, executive director of the Chinese society of immunology (deputy secretary-general), executive director of China cancer association, party committee (cancer drugs, tumor markers, biological treatment branch, vice chairman), executive director of the Chinese society of environmental mutagen (cancer branch, vice chairman), executive director of inspection physicians branch of the Chinese medical doctor association, Chinese hospital association standing committee, executive director of tumor hospital management association, vice President of physicians association of European and American Students' Association, Chairman of Hebei Cancer Association.
He is Chief editor, deputy chief editor and executive editorial board member of 12 national core journals, such as "Cancer Transformation·Malformation·Mutation" and Chinese Journal of Immunology, and reviewers of SCI journals such as Cellular Immunology and Anti-Cancer Gene Therapy.
