Qi LongQi Long

MBA,
Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences,
Member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences

With over a decade of experience in basic biomedical research and learning, as well as extensive experience in medical information, biopharmaceutical technology products, and industrial transformation, Dr. Qi Long is a recipient of the Rudolf Virchow Medal. He has previously worked as a researcher at the MG Molecular Laboratory in Germany (Molekulare Diagnostik · Labor Mönchengladbach MVZ) and served as a guest editor for international journals such as European eBioMedicin. Dr. Qi Long has been a visiting professor at the School of Bioengineering at Chongqing University.

Dr. Qi Long has devoted himself to research on biological signal transduction, the mechanisms of over expression of tumor growth factors like EGFR, ERBB2/HER-2 receptors, intracellular electromagnetic signal transduction, and the analysis and design of tumor active proteins. He has published over 60 academic papers in high-level journals both domestically and internationally, with more than 10 papers included in SCI, and has obtained over twenty national invention patents.

Dr. Qi Long has held positions as a technical director or consultant in several well-known international biopharmaceutical companies, including Astrid Twardy Pharmacy in Germany, Medipha Medical Group in Stuttgart, Nordstern Medizin und Gesundheitsmanagement, and Grossbare Medical Consulting Lab GmbH (GMCL). During his time at Astrid Twardy Pharmacy, he led a team to successfully discover the clinical applications of oleuropein and hydroxytyrosol, and developed molecular nutrients in the field of oleuropein hemostasis and anti-inflammatory applications, such as the oleuropein series formulations for treating oral inflammation and postoperative inflammation. At GMCL, he led a team to discover the direct dose-response relationship between electromagnetic fields and the synthesis of melatonin in the pineal gland of rats, leading to the discovery of a weak electric signal crossing the cell membrane potential barrier by causing a reverse conformational effect of the protein chain, serving as a medium for biological communication and/or information transmission, thereby earning the prestigious Leibniz Science Award in Germany.

He has also held various other positions, such as the representative of the Moenchengladbach Government Science and Technology Bureau in Germany, the representative of the BIMS Science and Technology Training Center of the Education Bureau in Muenster, Germany, and the Deputy Director and Special Foreign Expert of the Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Association.

Dr. Qi Long was honored with the title of one of the 500 Outstanding Chinese Representatives in the Global Chinese Yearbook in 2005.
