Pang Limin, professor-level senior engineer, is also master's tutor of Ningbo University, industry instructor of NingboTech University, general manager of Ningbo Dalong Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., director of Zhejiang Agricultural Machinery Society, director of Ningbo Artificial Intelligence Society, director of Ningbo Biology Society as well as Ningbo leading and top-notch first-level talent.

Professor Pang Limin has presided over more than 20 projects of the National Spark Program, the National Innovation Fund, the Provincial Public Welfare Fund and the key R&D projects of Ningbo. He has won 3 Ningbo Science and Technology Progress Awards, 3 Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Awards, and 8 Zhejiang Agricultural Machinery Science and Technology Progress Awards. He has obtained 86 related invention patents, published 25 core journal papers and 2 academic monographs.

Professor Pang Limin has long been engaged in the research of facility agriculture, agricultural automation, and digital agriculture. On the basis of the research results of intelligent recognition of spectral images, in combination with the digital expression of expert knowledge and experience, he proposed a hierarchical control theoretical framework of "environmental parameters-crop influence-control mode" for the first time, and established an expert database of plant growth based on growth control curves, which realized the man-machine intelligent collaborative operation and whole-course intelligent and precise control of key links of plant cultivation, and made a series of achievements in the research of digital agriculture and greenhouse environmental measurement and control.

He has developed a series of complete sets of high-efficiency cultivation equipment such as digital logistics cultivation system and three-dimensional cultivation system with independent intellectual property rights, improved agricultural production efficiency by 5-10 times, built an efficient factory production model suitable for all parts of the country, and invented a core technology system for factory cultivation based on digital technology.

The research results promote the large-scale development and application of modern digital agriculture technology, improve land utilization, foster the upgrade and sustainable development of agricultural industry, and achieve significant economic, social and ecological benefits. He has made outstanding contributions to the development of agricultural science and technology in China and increase in farmers' income, and won the honorary titles of Advanced Worker in Agricultural Science and Technology in Zhejiang Province and Expert with Outstanding Contributions in Ningbo City.
