Prof. Ninghui Hao, Professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Doctoral Tutor, Dean of Academic Affairs, Member of the Academic Committee of the Academy, Chief Expert of the National Social Science Foundation and Major Topics, Forbes 2021 Chinese Designer TOP10, Guanghua Longteng Award, Top Ten Outstanding Young People in China's Design Industry, Top Ten Design Educators in China, and Famous Teachers in Beijing. Prof.Ninghui Hao obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial design from the School of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University in July 2003, a master's degree in design art from the School of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University in July 2006, a doctoral degree in design from the School of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University in July 2014, and a postdoctoral research fellow at California State University in September 2018. He has been supported by the 2020 China Scholarship Council-Huddersfield University Visiting Program, and has completed further study and visiting study at the Royal College of Art, Imperial College of Technology, Oxford University and other institutions. In 2006, he taught at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, assisted Xinjiang for three years in 2014 and participated in the establishment of the first design college in Xinjiang, awarded the National Social Science Fund project in 2017, won the top ten outstanding young people in China's design industry in 2019, won the top ten design educators in China in 2021, and was selected as the "Yangtze River Scholars Award Program" by the Ministry of Education in the same year. In 2022, he was appointed as the chief expert of major projects of the National Social Science Foundation, and in 2023, he was selected as the special professor of the "Yangtze River Scholars Award Scheme" of the Ministry of Education, and presided over the talent training project of the National Art Foundation in the same year.

He has been engaged in research across multiple interdisciplinary fields for a long time, spanned multiple perspectives, such as industrial product design, intelligent design, information design, human-computer interaction design, information communication and mechanical-electrical integration, etc., based on the frontier areas of design disciplines, leading the development of disciplines. At the level of serving the national strategy, he has participated in a number of national science and technology public relations "neck" projects, and has designed many national design projects, such as the stamps of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the gifts presented by General Secretary Xi to 30 heads of state, the vacuum tube maglev high-speed flying train, the image of the Red River Ship of the People's Liberation Army, and China's first set of non-legacy theme bank cards (circulation of 600 thousand). At the level of building design disciplines, the first cultural and creative product design major in China has been established, and many innovative achievements have been made in product design theory, method and strategy, TUI intelligent interface interaction design and the construction of creative product design theory system; In recent years, he has presided over the major national social science project "Research on Innovative Methodology of Intelligent Design in the Information Age", and has made important progress in the research of cross-integration of arts and sciences, meta-design and intelligent design, as well as intelligent scenes and intelligent manufacturing under the background of interconnection of all things. He has won three Red Dot Awards, two IF Awards, IDEA Gold Awards and many other awards at home and abroad; He has written 5 monographs and published more than 40 papers, and hosted 1 major project funded by the National Social Science Foundation, 2 projects funded by the National Art Foundation, and 4 key projects at the national and provincial levels.

Prof.Ninghui Hao is a professor, doctoral supervisor, director of the Academic Affairs Office, member of the Academic Committee of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, chief expert of the National Social Science Foundation's Major Project, Forbes 2021 Top 10 Chinese Designers, Guanghua Longteng Award, one of the top ten outstanding young people in the Chinese design industry, one of the top ten design educators in China, and a renowned teaching teacher in Beijing. In July 2003, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial design from the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University. In July 2006, he obtained a master’s degree in design art from the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University. In July 2014, he obtained a doctoral degree in design from the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University. In September 2018, he conducted postdoctoral research at California State University, USA. He has received funding from the China Scholarship Council-Huddersfield University Visiting Scholar Program in 2020. He has completed further studies and visits at Ecal Design School in Switzerland, the Royal College of Art, Imperial College London, and the University of Oxford. In 2006, he started teaching at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2014, he participated in a three-year aid program in Xinjiang and was involved in the establishment of the first design institute in Xinjiang. In 2017, he received a research grant from the National Social Science Fund of China. In 2019, he was recognized as one of the top ten outstanding young professionals in the Chinese design industry. In 2021, he was awarded as one of the top ten design education workers in China. In the same year, he was selected as a young scholar in the “Changjiang Scholars Program” by the Ministry of Education of China. In 2022, he became the chief expert of a major research project funded by the National Social Science Fund. In 2023, he was appointed as a distinguished professor in the “Changjiang Scholars Program” by the Ministry of Education, and presided over the talent training project of the National Art Fund in the same year.

He has long been engaged in research spanning multiple interdisciplinary fields, encompassing various perspectives such as industrial product design, intelligent design, information design, human-computer interaction design, information communication, and mechatronics integration. He is at the forefront of the design discipline, leading its development. At the level of serving national strategic initiatives, he has participated in multiple projects of national scientific and technological significance. He has designed various national design projects, including the postage stamps for the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the official gifts presented by President Xi Jinping to 30 heads of state, the maglev high-speed train using vacuum tube technology, the image of the People’s Liberation Army Red River ship, and the first set of Chinese intangible cultural heritage-themed bank cards (with a circulation of 600,000). At the disciplinary level of architectural design, he has established the first domestic major in cultural and creative product design, and has achieved multiple innovative results in the areas of theoretical methods and strategies of product design, TUI smart interface interaction design, and the construction of theoretical system for cultural and creative product design. In recent years, he has been leading a major project funded by the National Social Science Foundation, titled “Research on Methodology of Intelligent Design Innovation in the Information Age”. He has made significant progress in areas such as interdisciplinary integration of art and science, meta-design and intelligent design, as well as the research on smart scenes and intelligent manufacturing in the context of the Internet of Things. He has won the Red Dot Award three times, the IF Award twice, and numerous other domestic and international awards including the IDEA Gold Award; He has authored five monographs and published over 40 papers. He has hosted 1 major project of the National Social Science Fund, 2 projects of the National Art Fund, and 4 key projects at the national and provincial levels.
