Liucun Zhu
Prof. Dr.Liucun Zhu is a doctoral supervisor in Software Engineering at Yangzhou University and Mechanical Engineering at Guangxi University, as well as serving as a mentor for master's students in Mechanical & Oceanographic Engineering at Beibu Gulf University and Instrument & Meter Engineering at Jiangsu University. He is also a part-time researcher at Research Institute for Integrated Science, Kanagawa University in Japan. Additionally, holding leadership roles such as Chairman of the Smart Ocean Branch and Vice Chairman of the Intelligent Manufacturing Branch within the Guangxi Association for Artificial Intelligence. Moreover, contributing as a member to the Teaching Guidance Committee in Speciality of Electrical Engineering and Automation of Guangxi, China. He holds a Ph.D. in Robotics and Automation from Nagoya Institute of Technology in Japan. He has an illustrious career that includes positions at the prestigious Higashi Fuji Research Institute of the Toyota Motor Group and Nippon Mining Holdings, both recognized as world's top 500 companies. With over 40 years of experience in scientific research and industrialization, including more than 25 years dedicated to teaching and research in universities, Prof.Zhu possesses a solid theoretical foundation and extensive engineering experience.
Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in pioneering research and development in various domains, such as artificial intelligence, robot intelligent grasping, robot visual servo, distributed unmanned cluster systems, mobile robots, and ocean robots. Prof.Zhu is renowned for his exceptional innovation capabilities, having spearheaded and contributed to over 50 scientific research projects and more than 200 horizontal projects. His scholarly contributions extend to publishing over 200 papers, obtaining over 180 patents, and securing over 100 software copyrights.
In recent years, Prof.Zhu has received more than 10 numerous accolades, including the Guangxi Science and Technology Invention Award. He holds more than 20 prestigious titles such as foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, foreign member of the Ukrainian Academy of Engineering Sciences, life fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, National Distinguished Expert, and Guangxi Bagui Scholar. Prof.Zhu has a high reputation in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics technology.
