Liu Xinfu
Liu Xinfu is an expert in marine engineering and oil and natural gas engineering, a professor, a Ph.D. supervisor, a Taishan Scholar, an outstanding young talent in Shandong Province's universities, the leader of the provincial team for marine engineering combustible ice separation, and a recipient of the Qingdao Youth Science and Technology Award.
Professor Liu Xinfu serves as an editorial board member for journals such as China Offshore Oil and Gas and Modern Manufacturing Engineering. He is a chairperson for international conferences like IFEDC 2023, a session chair for conferences such as NCEMD 2023, and a committee member for international conferences including IMSM 2023 and ICEESE 2018, as well as for forums on the digital transformation and intelligent development of China's oil and gas extraction industry. He is also a member of the academic committee for conferences like iDOF 2023, and a member of the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Promotion Association, the Shandong Province High-Level Talent Development Promotion Association, and the Qingdao Young Scientists Association.
He has led national-level scientific research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, sub-projects of the National Major Science and Technology Projects, and open funds from national key laboratories. He has also led provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects such as the Taishan Scholars Program Special Projects, the Shandong Province University Young Talents Cultivation Plan, the Shandong Province Key R&D Plan, and the Shandong Province University Scientific Research Development Plan. Additionally, he has led key research projects for companies like CNOOC (China) Limited, PetroChina Exploration and Development Research Institute, PetroChina Changqing Oilfield, Yue Hong Hui Ze Petroleum, Zhongyou Ruishi, Sinopec Shengli Oilfield, Xi'an Modern Chemistry Research Institute, Zhongqing Yongsheng Petroleum, Dezhou United Petroleum, Nate Petroleum, and others.
As the first completer, he has received numerous awards, including the Second Prize of Shandong Province Technology Invention Award (2022), the First Prize of Qingdao Science and Technology Progress Award (2021), two Third Prizes of Shandong Province Patent Award (2020, 2022), the First Prize of Shandong Province Higher Education Science and Technology Award (2019), and five other government provincial and ministerial-level awards. He has also received the First Prize of the China General Chamber of Commerce Science and Technology Progress Award (2021), the Second Prize (2020), the Second Prize of China Marine Engineering Technology Invention Award (2021), the Second Prize of China Electronics Society Science and Technology Progress Award (2022), and three Second Prizes of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Award (2021, 2022, 2023), totaling eight association-level provincial and ministerial-level awards.
He has developed a high-value combination patent pool with multiple layouts, holding over 100 domestic and foreign invention patents as the first/second inventor, including two U.S. patents, three Japanese patents, two British patents, nine European patents, twelve G20 country patents, and other foreign invention patents, as well as 47 Chinese invention patents, as the first inventor. He has published one book and more than 80 high-level domestic and international papers, including 16 SCI-indexed JCR Q1 and Q2 papers and four international conference papers. He has been an invited speaker at international conferences such as IMSM2023, IFEDC2023, NCEMD2023, and has delivered keynote speeches at CPPEI 2023, CCUS-EOR CONF, and the Second China Natural Gas Development Technology Annual Conference.
