Liu XiaoxuanLiu Xiaoxuan


Prof. Liu Xiaoxuan, born in June 1957 in Changchun, is a second-level professor and doctoral supervisor. He is currently the leading scholar in the field of polymer materials under the provincial key discipline of "Materials Science and Engineering" (a first-level discipline). He is the director of the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for Advanced Photo-curing Materials and the director of the Polymer Materials and Engineering Certification at Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT). Liu graduated from Dalian University of Technology with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Polymer Chemical Engineering in January 1982, and received his Ph.D. in Polymer Science from Sun Yat-sen University in December 2001. Since June 2006, he has been a professor in the Department of Polymer Materials and Engineering, School of Materials and Energy, Guangdong University of Technology. He was appointed as a doctoral supervisor in 2006, and served as the head of the department from 2010 to 2015. Liu is a member of the Chinese Chemical Society, a director of the Guangdong Provincial Materials Society, a commissioner of the Guangdong Composite Materials Society, and a director and academic committee member of RadTech China. He is also an international member of RadTech North America, the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the UK, and the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM).

Over the years, Liu has mainly focused on polymer photochemistry and photo-curing technology. He has led five national science fund projects, and several other important provincial and municipal research initiatives. In the past five years, his research funding has exceeded 13 million yuan. He has published 246 papers in leading academic journals and international conferences, with 80 SCI-indexed articles, 1368 citations, and an H-index of 20. He has filed 51 invention patents, of which 32 have been granted. Liu has co-authored four monographs, including "Photopolymerization: Technology and Applications" (2009) and "Application of Photo-curing" (2020), published by Chemical Industry Press. His other notable works include a monograph" Photopolymerization Kinetics of Reactive Stereo-hindered Amine (r-HALS) and Photo stabilization of Polymer Coatings", published in 2017by Golden Light Academic Publishing (Germany), and an academic monograph: "Principles of Polymer
