Ligang Chen
Ligang Chen, Ph.D., Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, is the Expert in evaluation of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology and Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education, Academic and Technical Leader of Sichuan Province, and Chief Health Expert of Sichuan Province. He is also a senior expert in the field of neurosurgery in China, an expert with State Council Special Allowance, as well as a winner of the “Wang Zhongcheng’s Annual Award of Chinese Neurosurgeons - Academic Achievement Award,” the highest award in the Chinese neurosurgical community. Currently, he serves as the Director of the National Key Clinical Specialty (Neurosurgery) in China and holds the key position as the Director of the Sichuan Clinical Research Center for Neurosurgery. In addition, he is the Director of the Surgery Department and Neurosurgery Department at the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University. His main academic positions are members of the Standing Committee of the Neurosurgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and the President of the Neurosurgery Branch of the Sichuan Medical Doctor Association. He has published more than 100 SCIE-indexed papers in journals such as The Lancet, edited 5 national college textbooks and 2 academic monographs, and presided over and participated in the completion of 10 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has won many government awards, including the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, the Medical Science and Technology Award of China and the Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award. He has been awarded the honorary titles of "Chinese Neurosurgery Scholar with High Academic Influence", "Top 50 Chinese Neurosurgery Experts", and "Top 100 Authors of High-value Papers in the Field of Neurosurgery in China" in the academic evaluation of Chinese neurosurgery experts.
