Liang-Jie Zhang
Liang-Jie Zhang, a Distinguished Professor at the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Shenzhen University, earned his Ph.D. in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Control from Tsinghua University. He is recognized as an IEEE Fellow and an ACM Distinguished Scientist. He had served as a visiting professor at Tsinghua University, Peking University, etc. He once served as the Founding Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing, an Associate Editor-in-Chief and Senior Advisor of China Communications, and a deputy director of the CCF Big Data Expert Committee.
He previously held positions as a Research Staff Member at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and as the Chief Architect of Industrial Standards for IBM Software Group. He also served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Scientist, and General Manager of the Customer Success Department at Kingdee International Software Group Company Limited. Additionally, he currently holds roles such as the President of the Shenzhen Entrepreneurship and Innovation Federation (SEIF) and a Project Advisor for the Macao’s Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT).
His research focuses on service computing, Internet software, AI, enterprise digital transformation, and digital economy. He has published a total of 210 research papers and obtained more than 90 invention patents. He also published his early research results in the form of a monograph titled Services Computing. In 2008, he systematically constructed the IEEE Body of Knowledge of Services Computing.
He has been awarded numerous prestigious accolades, including the IBM Outstanding Research Achievement Award, the IBM Outstanding Innovation Award, the IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Award, the IEEE Computer Society Technical Achievement Award, the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China Computer Federation, the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Hubei Province, the First Prize for Invention Achievements from the China Inventors Association, and the First Prize for the Wu Wen Jun Technical Invention Achievement from the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence.
