Junxia MinJunxia Min

Dr. Junxia Min’s research interests have been focused on translational research of age-related diseases. Her significant contributions to the field include identification of longevity genes, decoding ferroptosis as a common pathological mechanism driving the development and progression of age-related diseases, such as heart and liver diareses. Up to date, Dr. Min has published more than 110 articles in peer-reviewed high-profile journals. Dr. Min has 7 patents. Over the years, Dr. Min has made several significant contributions to the field, including (1) identified novel longevity genes the potential molecular regulatory mechanisms; (2) discovered an iron-dependent programmed cell death-ferroptosis as a common pathological mechanism for age-related diseases, such as cardiovascular and liver diseases; and (3) functionally screened and characterized several novel small compounds with potent efficacy for the prevention and treatment of age-related diseases in preclinical models.
