Jing Xiaoyuan
Jing Xiaoyuan, Ph.D., Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. In December 1998, Prof. Jing graduated from the Department of Computer Science at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, obtaining a Ph.D. in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Control, a national key discipline. In June 2005, he was exceptionally promoted to the position of Professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Computer Science at Harbin Institute of Technology. Since June 2011, he has been serving as a doctoral supervisor in the Department of Computer Science at Wuhan University. He is a holder of titles such as the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents, specially-appointed "Chu Tian Scholar" Professor in Hubei Province, Innovation Group Leader in Hubei Province, included in lists such as Elsevier's China Highly Cited Scholars and the top 2% of global scientists, serving as editorial board member for multiple international journals including Pattern Recognition, a Tier 1 journal in SCI, Director of Guangdong Cloud Robotics Engineering Technology Research Center, Executive Director of Computer Academy of Guangdong, leader of B-class disciplines at Wuhan University, and Visiting Researcher at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Prof. Jing is the recipient of important awards such as the First Prize in Natural Science of Hubei Province, First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Guangdong Province, and Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Chinese industry associations. He is the holder of over 80 national invention patents and international invention patents. He has published over 240 papers in internationally renowned journals and conferences in the fields of computer science and artificial intelligence. Prof. Jing is the principal investigator for 6 National Natural Science Foundation projects, including key projects.
His main research interests include machine learning, big data analytics, and computer software. Prof. Jing has published multiple papers as first author/corresponding author in top journals in the field of computer science and automation, such as TPAMI (SCI IF 23.6), leading and promoting the development of deep learning theories and technologies for multi-view/multi-modal data internationally, receiving widespread attention from researchers at home and abroad.
