Jianxin Zou

Jianxin Zou is a tenured professor of School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Deputy Director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Hydrogen Science, Director of "Joint Laboratory of Hydrogen and Electric Energy Storage" between Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing Co., LTD. and School of Materials Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Chief Scientist of National Key Research and Development Program "Development and Application of Key Alloy Materials for Efficient and Safe Hydrogen Storage and Transportation", Shanghai Shuguang Scholar, Pujiang Talent. He was selected as the Young Cheung Kong Scholar Program of the Ministry of Education, the fellow of International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), the expert of national key research & development program for international collaborations, the administrator of National energy research center of green hydrogen refining and the chairman of advisory committee for china hydrogen energy industry chain. He is mainly engaged in the basic research and application of magnesium based energy materials. He has published more than 180 peer reviewed journal papers in Science, Adv Mater, Adv Energy Mater, Nano-Micro Lett, ACS Nano, etc, and received citations of more than 6300 times (H factor =45). He is selected to be in the "World's top 2% scientists" list of whole career contributions. He owns 21 national invention patents (ranking first), among which 5 patents have been transferred to enterprises. In addition, 3 PCT patents, 1 Japanese patent and 1 American patent have been authorized. He has participated in more than 70 academic conferences at home and abroad, among which he has made 50 more invited talks and served as the chair person of the conference for 3 times and sub forum for 15 times. He has won the Second Prize of Shanghai Technology Invention award in 2018 (ranking first), the Award of “Innovative Product of the Year” of International Mg Society in 2021, the Innovation Prize of Non-ferrous Metal Society of China in 2022, and the Outstanding Leader of Hydrogen Prize of H20 International Summit, 2023 International Mg Association (IMA) future technologies award, etc. He has accomplished the major projects of the development of ton level Mg based solid state hydrogen storage and transportation trailer and the 1000 ton/year Mg based hydrogen storage materials production line.
