Jianfeng Zhan

Dr. Jianfeng Zhan is a globally recognized evaluation and benchmark expert. He is currently serving as the Director of the Research Center for Advanced Computer Systems at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and as a professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is the founding chairman of the International Open Benchmark Council and the founding editor-in-chief of BenchCouncil Transactions on Benchmarks, Standards, and Evaluations. He has been committed to establishing the universal science and engineering of evaluation. The benchmark projects he has led, namely BigDataBench and AIBench, have made significant impacts, with BigDataBench being widely adopted by academic and industrial communities worldwide. Dr. Zhan has been honored with various accolades, including the National Science and Technology Progress Award (2005), the Outstanding Achievement Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (2006), the Best Paper Award at the 2013 IEEE International Symposium on Workload Characterization (IISWC), and the Award for Editorial Excellence of the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems (TPDS) (2020). With over 180 articles published in renowned international conferences and journals, Dr. Jianfeng Zhan's work has garnered widespread application and citations. He holds a total of 49 patents, including 10 international patents, and has transferred 35 patents to leading Chinese IT companies.
