Hua YinqunHua Yinqun


Hua Yinqun, male, born on October 1963 in Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province, holds a Doctor of Engineering degree and has completed postdoctoral research. He is currently a professor (T2, professors in China fall into 4 Tiers) at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Jiangsu University, and serves as a doctoral supervisor. He also holds the position of Chief Scientist in Major Project Plan for Basic Strengthening of National Defense and the president of Suzhou Jinhang Nanotechnology Research Institute. He is also the vice chairman of the Composite Materials Expert Committee of the National Materials and Device Scientists Think Tank, the executive director of Jiangsu New Materials Industry Association, a senior member of China Mechanical Engineering Society, and a senior member of China Society of Instrumentation. Since 1999, he has been mainly engaged in scientific research in the field of advanced laser manufacturing and surface modification treatment technology. Recently, recently, his research has been mainly concentrated in the field of thermal barrier coating, solar cell surface light trap technology, laser shock treatment of superalloy to improve its oxidation and corrosion performance and mechanism.

He currently serves as an expert reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as a reviewer for various scientific journals, including Optical Materials, Materials Characterization,Applied Surface Science, Surface and Coatings Technology, Journal of Materials Processing Technology,ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering, PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY CHEMICAL PHYSICS, Chinese journals "中国激光" (Chinese Journal of Lasers), Chinese Optics Letters.

He has presided several research projects, including 1 major basic research program for national defense science and technology (as chief scientist), 10 national (military) 863 projects, 1 key project of national defense special zone, 3 national Natural Science Foundation of China, and 5 pre-research funds (military).

He has published over 100 research papers in prominent Chinese and international academic journals, including International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture (IF:14), Applied Catalysis B: Environmental(IF:22.1), Materials Science & Engineering A(IF:6.4), Materials Characterization(IF:2.383), Applied Surface Science(IF:3.150), Surface and Coatings Technology(IF:2.236), Journal of Materials Processing Technology, (IF:6.2), ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering(IF:4.642), PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY CHEMICAL PHYSICS (IF: 4.493), among others. His research papers have been cited by 31 high IF journals, ranking in the top 1% nationally in terms of the number of cited papers, and have been cited by over 4500 scholars. One paper co-authored with Dr. Yan Ming has been consistently recognized as a highly cited paper since its publication in 2017, with a total of 270 citations.

He holds 18 granted national (defense) invention patents, and has won 1 first prize, 4 second prizes and 3 third prizes for scientific and technological progress at the ministerial and provincial level.
