Hua LiHua Li

Prof. Hua Li, the candidate, his main research interests include process analysis and chemoinformatics, artificial intelligence, energetic materials, green energy chemistry and process, etc. He received his master’s degree and PhD in Physical Chemistry from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1988 and 1996 under Prof. Qiang Su, Academician of CAS, and also worked as a postdoctoral researcher under Prof. Hong Gao, Academician of CAS. From 1998 to 2001, he served as visiting scholar and Guest Professor at the University of Washington in the United States, Masaryk University in the Czech Republic and Reutlingen University in Germany. He has successively undertaken and completed more than 20 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Sub-project of National Major Scientific Instruments and Equipment Development Projects of China, Sub-topics of Major National Science and Technology Projects, and Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education (SRFDP) of the Ministry of Education of China. In recent years, he has published more than 300 papers in international chemical journals, such as Chem. Sci., Anal. Chem. and Chem. Commun., etc. He also has co-published 5 academic monographs, 5 invention patents in China and 8 computer software copyrights in China. His research work and findings have attracted international attention in the corresponding academic sector, thus he has been invited to visit and give lectures in world-famous universities and national laboratories many times. He has also served as the meeting evaluation expert of the National Outstanding Youth Fund and other scientific research projects such as Youth Scientist Fund Program of the Chemical Science Department of the National Natural Science Committee of China. As an academic tutor, the candidate has supervised 2 alumni post-doctors, 21doctoral graduates and more than 70 masters in analytical chemistry and applied chemistry.

Relying on multiple disciplines such as analytical chemistry, materials science, energy science, life science, computer and information science, the candidate and his research team focus on the key scientific problems and technical bottlenecks of complex chemical system analysis in the fields of international analytical chemistry and chemoinformatics. Based on the actual needs of process analysis, accurate resolution and characterization of complex system in energetic materials, green energy chemistry and process, bioanalytical chemistry and other fields, he has developed and established a series of methods and technologies such as collaborative measurement and adaptive integration of multi-dimensional and multi-site spectra, accurate resolution and characterization of multi-trace chemical components, rapid and simultaneous green quantitative analysis, model transfer and collaboration, database development, miniaturization and intelligent analytical instrument development, with the help of advanced theories, methods and technologies such as artificial intelligence and chemoinformatics. On this basis, the new strategies of chemometrics, machine learning and artificial intelligence for quantitative analysis of complex systems are further developed, which provides a theoretical and design basis for building a new generation of intelligent analytical instruments and further promotes the development of analytical chemistry, and greatly enhances the potential and advantages of solving practical problems in multi-objective qualitative and quantitative analysis of static or dynamic complex systems.
