Guozhong Zou

Guozhong Zou, Chairman of Shanghai Hongbao Green Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Shanghai Xinshengji Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd, is the Founder of the Green Aquatic Alliance of the International Green Economy Association and the Founding Inventor of Xinshengji Agricultural Technology. He holds key positions in many important institutions including the Agricultural Industry Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the China Fishery Association, and the China Society of Fisheries. He holds the positions of Director of the Agricultural Industry Chamber of Commerce of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Director of the China Fishery Association, Director of the China Society of Fisheries, and Vice President of the International Green Economy Association. At the same time, Guozhong Zou is also a member of the China Fishery Medicine Professional Committee, an expert in science communication in the field of fisheries in China, a visiting professor at Shanghai Ocean University, a special researcher of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Management Sciences, a researcher at the China Science and Technology Research Exchange Center, an associate researcher at the Freshwater Fisheries Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and a registered consultant in Shanghai. This series of roles demonstrates his extensive impact in the field of agriculture and aquaculture.

In the past 20 years of his career, Guozhong Zou has been exploring the field of green agriculture, from aquaculture to agricultural planting, adhering to the concept of green ecological sustainable development. He actively promotes new technologies for healthy aquaculture and green and low-carbon agriculture. Being prolific in research, he has written and published more than 10 academic papers, including Development Prospects of Green Aquaculture and Green Aquatic Products, Pollution-free Shrimp and Crab Breeding and Microecological Preparations, On Green Aquatic Aquaculture and Disease Control and Aquaculture and Innovation, and applied for more than 70 invention patents and more than 20 utility model patents.

He has created the original "Xinshengji agricultural film mat technology". According to the technology, the paper fully-degradable film, seeds, and Weinaxi elements are fixed into one and made into the standard film mat product in factories in accordance with the set plant row spacing and per unit yield requirements. The 6 procedures of stubble cleaning, scraping, soil crushing, film mulching, soil covering, and suppressing are completed at one time by a special film mulching machine. The 21 links of agricultural (rice) planting are reduced to 9. Through precise sowing and fertilization, more than 60% of water can be saved in rice fields, the fertilizer utilization rate can be improved by 50-70%, 70% of labor can be saved, and the labor intensity can be lowered by 80%. Further, 16,000 tons of chemical fertilizer can be saved per million mu of land, which is equivalent to carbon emission reduction of 20,600 tons. The technology uses non-polluting and fully-degradable membrane materials, and adds digital sensors, which plays a role in real-time monitoring of the soil environment and creates preconditions for providing customized planting solutions. The process of sowing and fertilizing is completed in the workshop, so that farmers can truly become industrial workers.

Guozhong Zou's outstanding contributions have been widely recognized. He has received the "Outstanding Contribution Award for the Construction of the New Countryside of the Three Rural Issues" at the CCTV summit forum "Harmonious New Countryside for the Three Rural Issues" in 2008, the "Outstanding Private Entrepreneur of China" in 2009, the honorary title of "Kunpeng Award-Outstanding Person in China's Aquatic Industry" in 2016, and the honorary title of "Emerging Entrepreneur in the Fishery Industry in the New Era" by the China Fishery Association in 2018. In the same year, he was awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Contributor to China's Aquatic Industry" by the Organizing Committee of the 2018 China Aquatic Industry Annual Conference, and "China's Economic New Prominent Figure in 2018" by the Organizing Committee of the China Economic Development Summit Forum. In December 2023, he was awarded the title of "Most Socially Responsible Agriculturist" by the All-China Agricultural Industry Chamber of Commerce for his outstanding achievements in promoting green agriculture development and fulfilling social responsibility, and won the title of "Outstanding Entrepreneur of Trusted Brand Building" at the 19th China Trusted Entrepreneur Conference and the 5th China Brand Conference.
