Chuan Daniel Liu

Dr. Chuan Daniel Liu, male, born in August 1959, is the Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer of Clinical Service Center Co., Ltd. He received his Ph.D. degree from the College of Pharmacy，University of Illinois at Chicago, and his M.S. and B.S. degrees from China Pharmaceutical University. He has worked in the global clinical research departments in multinational drug companies such as Novartis, Pfizer, Sanofi-Synthelabo, Schering-Plough, Johnson & Johnson, Medidata, etc. He has been engaged in the design, management and execution of global clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, and assembly of FDA IND/NDA pharmaceutical regulatory filings for more than 20 years. He is an expert member of the development and revision Subgroup of the Clinical Studies Guidelines for International Council for the Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use (ICH E6(R3) Annex 2, and a member of the China working group for the revision of the ICHE6(R3) and M2. He also served as a core member of the Steering Committee for Clinical Trial Data Standardization of CFDA Center of Drug Review, a council member of DIA Advisory Committee of China, a member of DIA Global Training Committee, head of DIA China Clinical Trial Academic Salon, Deputy Head of China Clinical Trial Data Management Group, a visiting professor of NMPA Institute of Executive Development, a visiting professor of School of Basic Medicine and Clinical Pharmacy of China Pharmaceutical University, and Deputy Chairman of the China Steering Committee of US SCDM. Over the past 5 years, he has taught more than 80 courses related to clinical research at home and abroad. He has chiefly edited the books Drug Clinical Trial Methodology, Practical Drug Clinical Research A-Z, Discipline of Data Management in Clinical trials, and co-authored the books Good Clinical Practice: A Question and Answer Reference Guide, New Drug Approval Process, Computerized systems in clinical research: current quality and data integrity concept, etc. He is the lead author of the chapter "Key Data Management Elements in Clinical Trials for Oncological Therapeutics" in Frontier of Clinical Drug Research - Anti-Cancer Agents, and the chapter "Advanced ECDM Techniques in Clinical Pharmacology Research" in Quantitative Pharmacology and Drug Development. He has published more than 20 papers on national and international professional journals. He has received the following awards: "Valuable Contribution Award" from the Drug Information Association (2022), "Outstanding Contribution Award" from the China New Drug Founders Club (2018), "Scientific Salon Service Award" from the Drug Information Association (2014), "Special Achievement and Remarkable Successful Performance Award in Outcomes, Strategic Thinking and Decision Making" from Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. "(2007), "Outstanding Contribution Award" from the Drug Information Association (2012), and "Remarkable Performance Award" from Schering-Plough. Clinical Service Center Co., Ltd is a high-tech enterprise awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China.
