Changjin Chen, male, Ph.D., professor, chairman of Qingdao Hengxing University of Science and Technology and chairman of the board of directors of Qingdao Hengxing Group Co., Ltd., served as vice president of China Private Educators Association, member of Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, Deputy Director of the Research Center for Veterans Affairs and Civil-Military Integration, Tsinghua University, Vice Chairman of Qingdao Chamber of Commerce Alliance, Executive Chairman of the India-China Association of the Silk Road, President of Qingdao Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce, Executive Vice President of Qingdao Old Professors Association, and President of Qingdao Hengxing University of Science and Technology. Founded in 2001, Qingdao Hengxing University of Science and Technology, achieved the goal of "1,000 mu of campus and 10,000 people university" in the same year, and was successfully upgraded in 2014 and included in the national planning for unified undergraduate colleges. Over the past 23 years, the university has cultivated more than 120,000 high-quality application-oriented talents for the society. In 2012, Professor Chen, as an educator and entrepreneur, was recommended by the E-commerce Association directly under the Ministry of Commerce to visit the United States along with Then-Vice President Jinping Xi. At the China-US Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum, Professor Chen listened to in-depth exchanges between representatives of the two countries on China-US relations and major international and regional issues, and shared with the entrepreneurs attending the symposium the school-running pattern of university-enterprise integration of Hengxing University, which was recognized by many entrepreneurs. Professor Chen put forward the educational policy of "cultivating the character of a gentleman, learning to learn by oneself, refining professional skills, and shaping comprehensive ability", guided students to be grateful, cultivated the spirit of dedication, and practiced his educational way with actions. His "ecological symbiosis of industry and university, digital integration of industry and education - exploration and practice of basic ways of application-oriented talents" won the first prize of Teaching Achievement Award in Shandong Province. Further, he proposed the teaching reform model of "ubiquitous + academic society system", which was reported by China Education Newspaper and other media, and promoted the development of the integration of industry and education in application-oriented universities.
