Cao Jie

Cao Jie is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at Hefei University of Technology. He has been engaged in research on data science and business intelligence applications for a long time. He also serves as the Director of the International Joint Research Center for E-commerce Information Processing and the Director of the National-Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for E-commerce Transaction Technology. He has been selected as part of the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents Program, Jiangsu Province's "333 Project" Level Two Cultivation Object, an outstanding young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contributions in Jiangsu Province, an excellent backbone teacher under the "Qinglan Project," a high-level talent cultivation object under Jiangsu Province's "Six Talents Peaks" program, and has received the Innovative Pioneer Award Advanced Individual from the China Cereals and Oils Association, as well as being recognized as a top expert in science and technology in Nanjing City. He was awarded the title of "2022 Global AI Influential Scholar" and was selected in Stanford University's "Global Top 2% Scientists List" Annual Ranking of Scientific Influence. He has presided over 23 national and provincial-level scientific research projects, including 2 key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, 2 key research and development projects of the National Key R&D Program, 2 projects from the National Science and Technology Support Program, 1 key project of the Ministry of Science and Technology's International Cooperation, and 1 key project of the National Bureau of Statistics. He has published 63 SCI/EI papers and 3 papers in top international conferences as the first author and corresponding author, among which there are 18 papers in IEEE/ACM Transactions journals and 5 highly cited papers according to ESI. His papers have been cited more than 5,000 times according to Google Scholar statistics (as of Nov. 21, 2023), with the highest citation for a single paper being 268 times. He has authored 2 English monographs, one of which is solely authored, and 2 book chapters. He holds 49 authorized invention patents and has drafted 6 industry standards. He has been awarded 2 second prizes and 3 third prizes for scientific and technological progress in Jiangsu Province, and 1 second prize for scientific and technological progress by the Ministry of Education as the first author. He has served as a local chair or committee member for several conferences, including ICDS 2021, ICKG 2020, ProvSec 2016, the 17th China Management Science Annual Conference, and the 12th China Decision Science Academic Conference. He is also a member of the ADMA conference advisory committee and an editorial board member for Knowledge and Information Systems, World Wide Web Journal, Neurocomputing and Frontiers in Physics-Social Physics journals. He has also served as a reviewer for more than 10 top journals, including IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics.
