Bochu Wang


Prof. Bochu Wang, born in 1962, PhD, Chinese. He is senior professor and doctoral supervisor in Bioengineering College of Chongqing University. He had worked as a researcher at world-reknowned Universities and research institutes such as National Cardiovascular Research Center in Japan, Hopkins University in the U.S., and UBC University in Canada.

Prof. Bochu Wang is an expert enjoying the special allowance of the State Council of China. He was awarded the title of a national member of the "New Century Hundred Million Talents Project" and a member of “massentrepreneurship and innovation program” of Jiangsu Province. He is the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Biorheology Technology and Science of the Ministry of Education of China, the leader of the State Key Discipline of Biomedical Engineering, the executive director of Chongqing Biomedical Engineering Society, and the leader of the discipline of Biomedical Engineering in Chongqing Municipality.

Prof. Bochu Wang serves as an editorial board member of Colloids & Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, International Journal of Pharmacology. He has long been engaged in basic research in the fields of Mechanobiology, the excavation & modification of active proteins & the design of health products, and the bio-substitution of precious herbs, etc., and has undertaken 9 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 2 project of the National Key Basic Research Program (973), 2 project of the National New Drug Creation Program, 1 project of Shanghai University-Industry-Research Program, 1 project of the Chongqing Municipal International Cooperation Program, and 5 projects of the major horizontal projects. He was also awarded the Natural Science Prize of Chongqing Municipality. He has published more than 300 academic papers in domestic and international journals, of which more than 300 are SCI-recorded, including PANS, Nature Communications,Advanced Functional Materials, Redox Biology, Hepatology, Dalton Transactions, Journal of Biological Inorganic Chemistry, Biorheology, Ethnopharmacology, and other high-level academic journals, and he has dozens of nationally authorized invention patents.

In the past decades of teaching and research, Prof. Bochu Wang has been awarded 24 national projects and 31 patents. Prof. Bochu Wang has also held many important positions in many professional organizations such as the Deputy director of Key Laboratory of Biorheology Science and Technology, Ministry of Education ; Deputy director Of Biopharmaceutical Professional Committee of Chongqing Pharmaceutical Society ;Chief Expert of Chongqing Brain Science Collaborative Innovation Center ; Vice-president of China Association for Research and Development of Folk Chinese Medicine; Editorial board of Colloids & Surfaces B: Biointerfaces & Current Pharmaceutical Design etc.
